Memories of Vietnam 1965 1975 : photos, notes, stories from the war
This contrasts strangely with the ongoing war.
As the curfew at that time was 9 o'clock in the evening there was no real night life. Dancing was also banned.
The Cirqe Hippique served Vietnamese food, whilst the Cirque Sportif served French cuisine.
Both of course were relics of the French colonial period although oases of calm in a Saigon that was ever stressful and crowded. At least for a very small privileged minority.
