Children's party, Cirque Sportif, Saigon, Vietnam, early 1970s
A children's party at the Cirque Sportif, Saigon, South Vietnam, early 1970s
Together with the nearby Cirque Hippique they were the centres of Saigon life for the more privileged. A left over from the days of French colonial rule they were each an oasis of calm for the westerner who found Saigon hot, noisy and tiring.
A relic of a colonial past they were of course doomed along with the next door presidential palace at the fall of Saigon.
