Phan Thiet 1968. Memories of Vietnam
A scene from the town of Phan Thiet in the fighting of 1968. A US adviser returns from observing the enemy. At that time this was a more or less everyday happening. At the camp at the airfield overlooking the cemetary we had alerts almost every night. As I was attached to the advisory base in town I was down there everyday and often spent some time wandering around seeing what was going on.
We had known long periods of calm. This was a year where calm didn't apply. Where there was offensive after offensive. One in which my love life was as stormy as the country in which I was living.
