A reception at the Cirque Hippique, Saigon, in 1969.
There were also many faces to the life in Saigon at that time. A dinner had to finish at nine o'clock so that everyone could get home before the ten o'clock curfew. The curfew varied depending on the security situation but on the evening in qustion was at ten. The Cirque Sportif was more well known and popular but served french food. The Cirque Hippique served Vietnamese food and could be reserved for a private dinner. On this occasion there were about one hundred and fifty people present.
