Montagnards working on the land near Pleiku. Sometime in 1967. Misused by both the South Vietnamese government and the Viet Cong their life was often very difficult. When a Montagnard battalion was being withdrawn from a base under attack by North Vietnamese forces or Viet Cong a C130 was sent to take out the women and children. They often had their women and children living in camp with them. It was shot down and everyone on board perished. More than three hundred women and children died. It didn't make more than a minor few lines in the local newspaper.
